Art on 5th Avenue is a small group of artists that meets every Saturday at 1pm to paint, exchange ideas and help each other in our creative endeavors. In 2011, Joe Cruz and Pilar Montaño opened the studios at the Davis Marketing Building on 5th Avenue. A couple years later Pilar started art instruction for people new to painting or people with many years of experience. Although Pilar and Joe are no longer at the studios, a small group of us have continued their tradition of painting in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. We always have snacks, wine and music.
If you're interested in painting please come and join us on Saturdays at 1pm. You don't need to register, just show up and be ready to paint. We supply all the materials for acrylic painting except the canvas. We ask that you bring a canvas, (11" X 14" or smaller), an idea of what you want to paint but nothing too complicated and $25. Instruction starts at 1pm and runs for 3 or more hours depending on people's energy.
We meet every Saturday at 1pm and paint until people feel like going home. We are located in Bankers Hill at 2720 5th Ave across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral. Although many people feel like they have no artistic talents, you will be surprised at what you can accomplish with a little instruction. Our goal is to help you create what you envision.
